Jazz in the Native Language Music Festival

The festival takes place in the format of a series of open—air concerts in the ancient Volga city of Rybinsk. The organizers of the festival are the administration of the city of Rybinsk and the Music Agency of Stas Mainugin. In addition to musicians from the Yaroslavl region, Russian jazz stars from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk and Ulan-Ude are taking part in the festival this year. The artistic principle of the festival was laid down by its producer Stas Mainugin in the very name: the program is based on vocal performances in his native language. Mostly in Russian, because for most Russian musicians this is their native language; but Russia is a multinational country, so every year there are those who sing in other native languages in the festival program.
