A traditional holiday that has become a folk festival is an open regional folklore festival.
The holiday is celebrated on the third day after Holy Trinity Day and lasts for two or three days, but it has taken root on weekends. Its main events are a fair and a folk festival, accompanied by performances by folklore groups. The holiday is historical. There is a legend that "when the Poles ravaged and burned villages at the beginning of the 17th century, this disaster did not bypass the village of Sereda. When they left, the villagers decided to serve a prayer service in gratitude to God for the liberation of the village, but it was impossible to perform the service, as the robbers stole church utensils. And then a resident of the village of Kroshilo came out to the people and said that everything was there, all the church utensils and documents were hidden from the robbers and remained intact. Since then, the population of Sereda has been celebrating "Kroshikha" in honor of the respected resident of the village Ustina Kroshila, who preserved church property and shrines.
The folklore festival "Kroshikha" is a continuation of the tradition of festive fair festivities in the village of Sereda. These festivities have been known to the villagers and the whole area for over 400 years. For the participants and guests of the 2018 festival, the organizers found a place for: exhibitions and fairs of decorative and applied arts, master classes and game programs, guided tours of historical sites, a concert by the participating bands of the festival, traditional games and dances, tasting of seven types of okroshka, making a "Kroshilova blanket", as well as a mass round dance and evening.
