JazzPark International Festival

The International JazzPark Festival is an open-air summer music event hosted by the Yaroslavl Jazz Center (usually at the end of June).

The festival program traditionally includes outdoor concerts, lectures, workshops and evening jam sessions. The event gathers Russian and local jazz stars, developing the traditions of live music. The mission of the JazzPark festival is to preserve and develop the national musical culture.

The Yaroslavl jazz movement has a long and deep tradition and has occupied a significant place in the history of the formation of Russian jazz for more than half a century, being an integral part of the cultural space of the region. Yaroslavl played a major role in the development of jazz art as an active participant and organizer of concerts and educational lectures, becoming a kind of "forge" for many professional jazz musicians and the birthplace of Russia's oldest Jazz over Volga festival.
