The International Volkov Festival

Russian Russian Theater For 25 years, the stage of the Volkov Theater has been annually gathering leading theater groups from Russia and abroad, who present productions of Russian literature and drama on the stage of the First Russian Theater.

The International Volkov Festival is named after the founder of the Russian National Public Theater, Fyodor Grigoryevich Volkov. The slogan of the festival, which conveys the concept of its program: Russian Russian Literature on the stage of the First Russian Theater.

In 2025, the anniversary Volkov Festival took place — it was held in the homeland of the first Russian professional theater for the twenty-fifth time and is dedicated to the celebration of the 275th anniversary of the founding of the Fyodor Volkov Theater.
