"Assumption Cathedral and architectural monuments of the Rostov Kremlin" tour (12+)

The tour is aimed at senior schoolchildren and students. It is dedicated to a unique piece of ancient Russian architecture – the Rostov Kremlin.

Traveling through the objects of the ensemble, the tourists will get acquainted with the history of the construction and restoration of the Kremlin, the artistic originality of the complex of buildings, and get a visual idea of the artistic originality of the culture of Russia in the second half of the 17th century. Young people are deeply impressed by the understanding that the ensemble was built in a relatively short time and according to the plan of one person, Metropolitan Jonah III, and therefore has a special harmony.

The tour program includes an overview of the ensemble's layout; a visit to the cathedral courtyard with the Assumption Cathedral and the bell tower; a walk through the galleries of the Kremlin walls and a tour of the frescoed churches of the Resurrection, St. John the Theologian and the Savior in the Vestibule; acquaintance with the exposition "Museum of Church Antiquities" in the White Chamber. The tour ends with an open–air exposition - the Metropolitan Garden.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
