The tour introduces visitors to the place that preserves the memory of its famous owners, the Princes Golitsyn and a prominent representative of Russian literature, the famous poet, publisher and journalist Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov.
Karabikha was acquired by Nekrasov from the descendants of Prince M. N. Golitsyn in the early 60s of the XIX century. In 1862-1875, the poet visited the estate during the summer months. The poems "Grandfather", "Russian Women", "Contemporaries", "Frost Red Nose", the poems "Kalistrat", "Return", "Orina, the soldier's mother" were created here. In Karabikh, the poet worked on the poem "Who lives well in Russia".
Not only the guide tells about the history of this place, the way of life of the owners, their hobbies, relationships, and lifestyle, but also the space itself – the interiors, personal belongings, and family heirlooms of the inhabitants. Visitors can discover not only unknown facets of the great poet's personality and work, but also the wonderful world of the noble estate, which has become an integral part of Russian culture of the XVIII – early XX century.
