Guided tour of the exposition of the Metropolitan Chambers (0+)

On the tour you will see the most ancient monuments, starting with the pre–Mongol icon of the early 13th century "Savior Almighty", masterpieces of the 16th century rare iconographic subjects - "The Origin of the Precious Trees of the Cross", "John the Baptist with a Flourishing Cross" and the hagiographic image of Varlaam Khutynsky with 36 stamps. You will also learn about the works of the Yaroslavl icon painting school of the 17th century. These are the famous icon "Sergius of Radonezh with his life" and "The Legend of the Mamaev Massacre", an icon with the Legend of the local miraculous icon "Our Lady of Tolga", a frame icon with the Legend of the icon "Our Lady of Kazan-Yaroslavl" with stories from the history of Yaroslavl during the Time of Troubles.

During the tour, you can see the signature icons of visiting masters: Fyodor Zubov and Semyon Spiridonov of Kholmogorets, masters of the circle of Kostroma icon painter Gury Nikitin.

The tour is conducted for organized groups of 10 people or more.
