Rostov Veliky and Pereslavl-Zalessky joined the route of the new tourist train.

It will be possible to visit Rostov Veliky and Pereslavl-Zalessky on the weekend tourist train "Fairytale Express", which will start from Moscow on March 28. The duration of the tour is two days and two nights. The circular route, which will end in the capital, also includes a visit to Kirov.

– Tourist trains are a new travel format. With them, the railway becomes not just a transport, but an opportunity to see the cities and regions of Russia while spending time in a hotel on wheels," said Olga Gabuyeva, Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – In addition, tourist trains open up new horizons for the promotion of our region and contribute to an increase in tourist traffic.

Rostov Veliky and Pereslavl-Zalessky are the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia. The participants of the tour will learn about the history and architecture of these places, Russian folklore. In Rostov Veliky, guests will be offered a sightseeing tour of the city, a visit to the local Kremlin, where the film "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his Profession" was shot, they will be invited to admire Lake Nero, which is associated with the legend of Kitezh, and participate in an interactive production at the Frog Princess Museum.

In Pereslavl-Zalessky, tourists will be able to visit Tsar Berendei, as well as take beautiful photos on the shores of the picturesque Pleshcheyev Lake, where the young Peter I once created his funny flotilla, which marked the beginning of the Russian military fleet.

The train includes comfortable sleeping cars (SV, compartment and reserved seats with a shower) and a dining car.

The Golden Ring tourist train with a stop in Yaroslavl and the Pereslavsky Express weekend train also continue their flights.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the management of Russian Railways to further develop this area. Since 2025, the updated national project "Tourism and Hospitality" has been helping to increase the accessibility and quality of travel in Russia.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
