The sights of the Yaroslavl region are represented in the voting in the contest "From the South Seas to the Polar region".

You can make your choice by following the link: https://местагордости .Russian Federation/dostoprimechatelnost/tsentralnyy_federalnyy_okrug/yaroslavskaya_oblast/

– Seven attractions of our region participate in the All-Russian competition "From the South Seas to the Polar region". Among them are the embankment of the Cheremukha River in Rybinsk, Prince Vasilko Square in Rostov the Great, the village of Hopylevo, where Admiral Fyodor Ushakov was baptized, the Victory Memorial in Myshkin, the Resurrection Cathedral in Tutaev, the museum-factory "Syrkultprosvet" in Uglich and the Youth Palace in Yaroslavl, – said the Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev. – Voting takes place on the website of "place of pride.Russian Federation" and will last until May 4. I invite Yaroslavl residents to take part in the competition and support our attractions. Together we can make our region even more attractive for tourists and show its uniqueness to the whole of Russia!

In the Yaroslavl region, almost all territories participated in the preparation of the tender application. A team was formed that chose special locations in the region.

"In order to cover the entire region, the working group decided to contact the heads of municipalities, as well as through social networks to the residents themselves, and, taking into account the opinions of all interested parties, to form a regional application," said Gohar Vatinyan, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region.

The group was led by Lev Belov, a leading specialist at the Yaroslavia Tourism Development Center, and the participants were Lyubov Maryanenko, Stepan Loginov and Evgenia Vinogradova, employees of the Yaroslavl Region Youth Palace, Daria Logunova, a member of the Public council under the Ministry of Tourism, and an inclusive certified tour guide.

– Not all the objects were included in the regional application, but in any case these proposals will be taken into account in the further popularization of iconic places for our region, – said Lev Belov.

Until May 4, Russians will choose 30 iconic locations. Residents of each of the 89 regions can not only influence which sights will become symbols of Russia, but also tell about the places that inspire them by completing a creative task. In addition, everyone can share their memories and thoughts about the objects that are presented in the online galleries "Memorable Places of the Great Victory" and "Russia is the first in the world!", as well as take tests and test their knowledge of the country's attractions.

100 of the most active participants will be able to travel around Russia as part of the updated national project "Tourism and Hospitality". They will receive certificates for trips from More Than a Journey. The results of the competition will be announced on May 9th.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
