The government of the region and the participants of the tourism market are constantly and consistently working to create exciting programs and impressions, as well as to develop the hospitality infrastructure. Governor Mikhail Evraev stated this when delivering his annual report on the work of executive authorities to deputies of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma.
A significant increase in the reporting period occurred in terms of the increase in the hotel stock: hotels were opened in Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rybinsk and the first five-star hotel Lastochka in Yaroslavl. Earlier, the Sokolena hotels in the regional center, as well as Koprino Plaza and the complex in Legova in the territory of the Rybinsk district, glamping and camping sites, replenished the room stock.
– Thus, by 2025, about 500 rooms have been added. By 2027, we intend to double this figure by receiving over 650 hotel rooms, as well as new glamping and camping sites," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region.
This year, investors have submitted more than 50 applications for state support from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development for the construction of tourist accommodation facilities. Most of the rooms are planned to be created in Nekrasovsky, Yaroslavsky and Pereslavl-Zalessky districts. In addition, work continues on previously launched investment projects in Yaroslavl, Uglich district, Tutaev, Vyatka.
This year, almost 190 million rubles were allocated for the development of tourism and the hospitality industry under a specialized national project. This will allow us to continue work on the creation of a tourist navigation system in the region. Full houses will be installed in the historical centers of municipalities, which will contain not only modern street names, but also their historical names. The installation of small architectural forms with touch panels will continue.
– The turnover in spending and withdrawing cash by tourists in 2024 amounted to over 30 billion rubles, while in 2023 it was about 17 billion rubles. The growth is over 80%. Our region holds leading positions in various ratings of the tourism industry. It is important not to stop there and continue to develop in order to make the Yaroslavl region even more attractive for travelers," Mikhail Evraev said.
In his report, the governor noted that the Yaroslavl Region is one of the country's leading cultural centers. Every year, serious attention is paid to the development of industry institutions and the event agenda.
