Yaroslavl Region received awards in four nominations based on the results of two All-Russian tourism awards.

Following the results of two All–Russian awards – "Tourist Cities" and "Regions of Tourism and Hospitality" - awards in four categories went to the Yaroslavl region. This was announced by the Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev.

– Our region confidently occupies a leading position in the Russian tourism market. Yaroslavl region became the best in the nomination "Souvenir tourist products". In addition, two of our cities, Yaroslavl and Rybinsk, received awards," Mikhail Evraev noted. – Yaroslavl is recognized as the best city of tourist souvenirs. Rybinsk received the Grand Prix in the nomination "City of public tourist spaces" and took the second place in the category "City of family tourism and recreation".

Within the framework of the competitions, the projects were defended by representatives of 67 cities from 49 regions. The award ceremony for the winners of the II All-Russian award "Tourist Cities" and the IV All-Russian Award "Regions of Tourism and Hospitality" was held in Voronezh at the Forum of Tourist Regions and Cities.

It should be noted that the Yaroslavl region is traditionally one of the most popular destinations for domestic tourism.

According to the results of 2024, the tourist flow to the Yaroslavl Region amounted to about 12 million people, which is 30% higher than the same indicator in 2023.

The turnover in spending and withdrawing cash by tourists in 2024 is 30.4 billion rubles.

In addition, tax revenues from tourism activities in 2024 amounted to 634 million rubles. The development of appropriate infrastructure contributes to the increase in the tourism potential of the Yaroslavl region.
