Sports intensive for yachtsmen takes place in Breitovo

An intensive sports sailing event organized by the Wind Force community is taking place at the Vetreno glamping in the Breitovo Municipal District. It will last until May 4th.

–Our region is the only one in the Central Federal District with its own sea," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – The Rybinsk reservoir stretches for 110 kilometers in length and 76 kilometers in width. There are even storms like on a real sea, with waves up to three meters. Open water and strong winds attract more and more yachtsmen to our region. We are interested in developing sailing holidays in the region. We plan to attract investors for the construction of glamping sites, campsites and hotels near the water. It is already possible to find land plots ready for investment and acquisition on the investment portal of the Yaroslavl region.

Intensive training includes sailboat management, campfire evenings and a program of activities for participants.

– Yachting is always a new and amazing story. And in the evening – sincere conversations around the campfire. The sea, the wind, the state of absolute calm and the feeling of freedom are all unforgettable," said Gohar Vatinyan, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – In addition, now all travelers are constantly opening up new wide opportunities to choose a vacation to their liking thanks to the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".

The event is aimed at athletes who confidently control the boat and love racing. Participants share their skills and experience in performing complex maneuvers.

– Intensive is designed for experienced guys who are ready to work on the details, hone the pros and remove the cons. The water area of the Rybinsk reservoir is very suitable for us: open water and strong winds create ideal conditions for marine practice in fresh water," said head coach Egor Terpigorev.

Coach Alexander Ekimov, known for his skill in setting the speed limits of the mast and sails, is also taking part in the event.

The organizers of the sailing community "The Power of the Wind" want to make sports intensive an annual tradition.

In addition, from May 7 to 11, a sailing camp for intermediate and novice athletes will operate at the Vetreno glamping. Everyone will be able to enjoy stunning views of sailboats against the backdrop of the endless Rybinsk Sea.
