The TIC opened in a historic house – Andrey Titov, a local historian, merchant, philanthropist, zemstvo and public figure, and archaeographer, was born and lived in it all his life. Under Titov's supervision, a major restoration of the Rostov Kremlin was carried out, which saved the famous complex of ancient Russian architecture from final destruction. On Titov's initiative, the Museum of Church Antiquities, one of the first provincial museums in Russia, was opened in the Kremlin's White Chamber, which was restored in 1883.
- In the tourist information center, each guest will be able to get information about the sights of the ancient city, the staff will tell you which excursion route to choose in order to get to know the iconic and unique locations as much as possible, – said Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl region Gohar Vatinyan.
Souvenir products have also been prepared for tourists – postcards, T-shirts and shoppers. In the future, it is planned to introduce services for individual routes and excursions.
Under the motto "Rostov is the guardian of Russian identity", two unique projects have been developed – "Original Rostov" and "Wedding in Rostov".
Initially, Titov's House was planned to be transferred to the Rostov Kremlin, but the federal museum refused it. As a result, the authorities found a new purpose for the facility, taking into account its history and convenient location.
The Rostov Veliky Shopping Center is located at 56 Leninskaya Street. It is very convenient for guests entering the city from Moscow along Leninskaya Street.
