Residents and guests of the Yaroslavl region will be able to participate in unique programs at the "Night of Museums"

The All-Russian action "Night of Museums" will be held in the region on May 17.

"This year's Museum Night campaign is dedicated to the Year of Defender of the Fatherland," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – The museums of the region, as well as concert organizations and theaters will take part in it. They prepare interactive platforms, workshops, quests, performances, games, excursions, lectures and concerts. Thanks to such projects, residents and visitors of the region can learn even more about the exploits of the defenders of the Fatherland, who fought for freedom and peace and are an example of courage and heroism for all of us.

The main venues of the action in the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve will be the permanent exhibition "History of the Yaroslavl Region" and the exhibition "Stories of people of the forgotten War". There will be theatrical programs, including fragments of the play "Letters of the First World War" performed by artists of the Fyodor Volkov Drama Theater, guided tours and thematic lectures. Those who wish can take part in the game "Under the sign of the Red Cross": They will assemble a field pharmacy, prepare a menu for the wounded, and decode a letter sent from the front. The program will end with the concert "Military Marches of a great Country" performed by the Yaroslavl Municipal brass band.

The Literary Memorial Museum-Reserve "Karabikha" invites you to the interactive program "Nekrasov quest". The guests of the estate will have a trip through the old manor house, filled with poems and memories, acquaintance with family heirlooms, stories from the life of the Nekrasov nobles.

The Rybinsk Museum-Reserve invites you to the retro playground "Songs of the Great Victory", the play for children and adults "Buy an Elephant" from the Charity Fund for the Support and Development of the Fyodor Volkov Theater and the short film "Nikolai Sokolov. The Strokes of Nuremberg".

The Uglich Museum will host a presentation of the book "Uglich's Past" and a musical program "Russian Romance". Guests will be able to visit the exhibition "Past the war: works by front-line artists in the museum collection."

The Pereslavl Museum-Reserve invites everyone to performances, fascinating interactive platforms, master classes, performances by creative teams and the museum quest "The Edges of War".

Guests of the Cosmos Museum will be able to complete the fascinating quest "Beyond the Earth", based on the science fiction novel of the same name by the great Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. Visitors will also enjoy the first silent Soviet science fiction film, workshops and children's animation. The program will last from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Yaroslavl Art Museum has prepared unusual excursions and quests, acquaintance with architectural monuments and masterpieces from the museum's collection. Entrance to the territory is free from 19 o'clock. The program will continue with the participation of actors of the Fyodor Volkov Theater Evgeny Mundum and Ilya Varankin, who will present a fragment from the play "Tsiolkovsky", dedicated to the heroes who opened the way to a beautiful and unexplored cosmos.

Guests of the V.V. Tereshkova Center will be able to complete the "Path of Heroes" and "Space Odyssey" quests, hear a fascinating story about constellations and stars visible in Yaroslavl, learn about the important role of astronomy during the Great Patriotic War, participate in master classes and receive memorable gifts.

The "Night of Museums" campaign is an opportunity for museums to demonstrate new forms of work, and not only classical ones. Traditionally, many guests come to the Yaroslavl region on the "Night of Museums". The development of events and attraction of tourists to the regions correspond to the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
