The Vyatskoye complex was once again awarded the status of a non-governmental museum of federal significance.

The relevant document was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The status of a non-governmental museum of federal significance was again granted for three years.

– In 2022, the Vyatskoye complex became the first and remains the only non-governmental museum of federal significance in Russia. After the first three–year period, he was again granted this status, which the project undoubtedly deserves," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – This is an excellent example of the revival of an ancient village with a rich history. Vyatskoye is not only a well–known historical and cultural center throughout the country, it is already a famous tourist brand. We pay great attention to creating conditions for the development of domestic and inbound tourism in accordance with the objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", and Vyatskoye is one of the brightest points of attraction for guests on Yaroslavl land.

The status of a non-governmental museum of federal significance is granted to museums that meet a number of criteria: they own cultural property, receive at least 300,000 visitors per year, participate in cultural and educational events, and regularly organize new exhibition projects.

Today, there are 12 museums and three additional museum locations on the territory of Vyatka. Many creative projects are being implemented here, such as the festival "Province – the soul of Russia" by the famous opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, the festival "Days of Petersburg" with the participation of the Mariinsky Theater, the annual summer festival "Days of Nekrasov in Vyatsky", the festival "Russian Style" and many others.

Since 2015, Vyatskoye village has been a member of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages and Towns in Russia, and it is the headquarters of the association. In 2015, the historical and cultural complex received the Grand Prix of the international Intermuseum Festival as the best museum of the year in Russia. It was decided to include Vyatka in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
