Yaroslavl is one of the three most accessible cities in Russia for recreation

This was announced by the head of the region Mikhail Evraev.

The rating was compiled by the OneTwoTrip online service based on the results of requests for tickets and hotels. According to experts, Yaroslavl as the pearl of the Golden Ring will be interesting for architecture lovers.

– Yaroslavl has entered the top three most accessible cities in Russia, – said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – To make the trip to our region comfortable for the family budget, we are expanding the number of rooms. We invite investors to implement projects in the field of tourism. This year, they have submitted more than 50 applications for state support from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development for the construction of glamping sites. We are improving the transport infrastructure. This year, almost 190 million rubles were allocated for the development of tourism and the hospitality industry under a specialized national project.

Yaroslavl region is one of the leaders in the field of tourism in Russia. The government of the region and the participants of the tourism market are constantly and consistently working both on the formation of vivid impression programs and on the development of infrastructure.

Last year, hotels were opened in Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rybinsk and the first five-star hotel Lastochka in Yaroslavl. Earlier, the hotel Sokolena in the regional center, Koprino Plaza and the complex in Legova in the territory of the Rybinsk district, glamping and camping sites replenished the room stock. Also this year, work continues on previously launched investment projects for the construction of tourist accommodation facilities in Yaroslavl, Uglich district, Tutaev, Vyatka.

As part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", a tourist navigation system is being developed in the region. The turnover in spending and withdrawing cash by tourists in 2024 in the region amounted to over 30 billion rubles.

Yaroslavl hosts cultural events and festivals that bring together audiences from all over the country: the Yuri Bashmet International Music Festival, the International Volkovsky Festival, the Victor Rozov All-Russian Theater Festival, and others. This year, on the occasion of the 275th anniversary of the F.G. Volkov Theater, the first Russian professional theater, guests are expected to attend the Theater Week in Yaroslavl.

Half of the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia are located in the region.: Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Uglich, and since June of this year – Rybinsk.

The expansion of the M8 highway and the construction of a million-plus airport will open up new opportunities for road travelers. Together with Russian Railways, work is underway to create new passenger routes in the region.

Cheboksary is recognized as the most accessible city for travel in the OneTwoTrip rating, with Kirov in second place. The top 10 also includes St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Pskov, Samara, Tambov, Kazan and Murmansk.
