On June 14, the traditional folk festival "Kroshikha" will be held in the village of Sereda in the Danilovsky district.
– The history of the holiday dates back more than 400 years, it was revived to preserve the traditions and culture of the Yaroslavl land, – said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – All our events are aimed at creating a variety of leisure activities for residents and the development of inbound tourism. I invite you to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of the Yaroslavl region and spend the upcoming holidays with the whole family in our region.
Every year, guests from Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Vologda and other regions gather for the folklore festival "Kroshikha". This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in traditional folk culture: to hear old tunes, take part in round dances, dances and village games, to test yourself in folk amusements and competitions. This time, the holiday is dedicated to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, and special attention will be paid to the image of the Armenian hero Ustym Kroshilo, who, according to legend, hid church goods from the invaders and preserved them, donated earlier by the tsar himself.
– The program of the event promises to be rich: performances by folklore groups, fair festivities, workshops on folk crafts, interactive photo zones and treats from local residents, - said Ekaterina Stepanova, Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region.
Guests will be able to taste traditional okroshka prepared according to five different recipes, as well as taste homemade kvass from the staff of the Seredsky House of Culture. A special part of the celebration will be the creation of a "Kroshilov blanket", everyone can join this process.
Amateur folk and folklore-ethnographic groups will also perform as part of the program.
This year, a new comfortable stage has been prepared for the participants, and the territory of the Kroshilova Dvora has been landscaped for a comfortable celebration.
