Residents and guests of the region will enjoy a bright festival weekend

On June 28, Mologafest 2.0. Keepers of the Fire will be held in Rybinsk, and on June 29, the festival of folk traditions and crafts "Vereteno" will be held in the village of Yuryevskoye, Pervomaisky district.

– We are preparing a bright festival weekend for residents and guests. Events such as Mologafest and Vereteno are a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past, touch history and discover the rich cultural heritage of the region," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – In addition, such events are one of the important components of the tourist attractiveness of the territories.

"Mologafest 2.0. Keepers of Fire" is dedicated to the memory of the flooded city of Mologa. This unique event continues the traditions laid down in 2023, when the atmosphere of the ancient Mologsky holiday "Yershovaya Week" was recreated for the first time. Artists in costumes with Mologa patterns, folklore theaters, and folk songs will perform for the guests.

You will also be able to taste dishes according to Mologa recipes prepared right at the festival, learn about the way of life, clothes, cultural traditions and talents of the inhabitants of the flooded region, take part in ancient games and dances. The artists will hold master classes on house painting, carving, and amulet modeling for families with children. Visitors will be involved in ancient games and dances.

– Guests will be able to visit the multimedia exhibition "Unknown Mologa – Russian Atlantis" with a model of a flooded city, a fashion show and a capsule collection of the interior "Mologa Home. Murals of flooded lands," said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region.

Following the results of the festival, a short cartoon and a video about the traditions and holidays of the citizens of Vologda will be shot.

For the first time, the festival of folk traditions and crafts "Vereteno" will be held in the village of Yuryevskoye, Pervomaisky district. The organizers are preparing folk games and unusual entertainment for children and adults, craft stalls with authentic products and a bath ceremony where they will reveal the secrets of traditional vaping. A safe rafting trip along the picturesque Ukhtome River will be organized for the most adventurous. The opening of the festival will take place at 11 o'clock.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
