The Day of the Big Village will be celebrated in the region on July 12.

The holiday will be held under the motto "By Peter's Day – a fair for the court" and will begin with a service in the Church of Peter and Paul.

– This year, the Big Village celebrates its 396th anniversary, it is the center of attraction for Yaroslavl residents from different parts of our region. It is also visited with interest by guests from other regions, who not only get acquainted with the local flavor and iconic places, but also take an active part in event events," said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – All initiatives aimed at promoting events and creating tourism products are implemented in accordance with the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" initiated by President Vladimir Putin.

On the Day of the Big Village, residents and guests of the celebration will enjoy a large program: interactive playgrounds for children and adults will work, soloists of the district and invited artists, vocal and dance groups will delight with creative performances. Also, everyone will be able to visit the fair of arts and crafts, cheer for their teams at volleyball and mini-football competitions.

In addition, the family folklore festival "In Love with Flax" has been held for the third year in a row as part of the Big Village Day with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The event promotes the preservation and transmission of folk crafts, the education of the younger generation, the revival of spiritual and moral values among the local population, the popularization of folk culture and the revival of traditions of patronal holidays in small villages. The festival has become a significant event for the development of tourism in Bolsheselsky district and attracted more than 300 tourists.

The celebration will culminate with fireworks.
