Yaroslavl region is among the leaders in increasing the tourist flow in the Central Federal District

According to Rosstat, in the first half of the year, the number of visits to the Yaroslavl region increased by 6.4%: guests made more than 425 thousand trips, which is 25 thousand more trips than in the same period last year.

– The region is steadily increasing the dynamics of the tourist flow. The Yaroslavl Region occupies a leading position in the Central Federal District, second only to the capital, the Moscow region and the Tver Region," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – We will continue to work on the development of tourism, so that even more people choose the region for visits, investments and permanent residence.

The head of the region noted that the development of tourism directly affects the increase in tax revenues. Thus, budget revenues increased 2.2 times in the first half of the year. The region received an additional 100 million rubles. Almost 500 million rubles more were raised under specialized national projects and state programs in the field of tourism. In particular, the region is actively involved in the implementation of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".

In addition, the growth of tourist traffic entails an increase in demand for housing. In the first half of the year, the rental real estate market increased by 30% with peak demand for weekends and holidays. In terms of short-term housing reservations, the Yaroslavl Region topped the rating of the Central Federal District regions.

– Travelers are increasingly choosing Russian destinations. The cities of the Golden Ring are among the most popular," said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – Our region attracts tourists not only with its rich history, but also with its comfortable infrastructure, a variety of excursions and event tourism.

To promote tourism in the region, transport accessibility is being improved, including plans to launch international flights, new railway routes, expand the M8 highway, and create a water infrastructure.
