On July 12, the Romanov Sheep – the Golden Fleece of Russia festival will be held in Tutaev on the left bank of the Volga River. Residents and guests of the city will enjoy a rich entertainment program.

– The left–bank part of Tutaev is a real tourist gem of the region, the heiress of the ancient merchant town of Romanov. It was here that the famous Romanov breed of sheep was bred by decree of Peter the Great," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – The annual summer festival "Romanovskaya Sheep – the Golden Fleece of Russia" is dedicated to this heritage. Come to the festival with your family and friends, recharge with positivity! I would like to note that all initiatives aimed at promoting events and creating tourism products are being implemented in accordance with the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Saturday, from 11.20 am, creative teams will welcome guests on the Volga Embankment. The grand opening will take place at noon on Lenin Square. Festive events will also take place at the Ekran cinema, in the City Park and on Kustodievsky Boulevard. Guests will enjoy a sheep shearing workshop, presentations of products from the Yaroslavl Sheepskin and Fur Factory, exhibitions, sports games, programs for children and adults, concerts and performances: everyone's favorite Tutaevsky Folk Theater "Levy Bereg" will perform. An exhibition of sheep is tentatively planned in the park.

– An important aspect in the organization of this annual event is the preservation of historical themes, while the organization of events took into account the interests of guests of different ages, – said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region.

On July 12, a passenger ferry from the right to the left bank of the Volga River will be organized from 10.30 to 11.30 every 15 minutes. Flights are free.

The SP-44 ferry will not transport motor vehicles at this time. The organizers point out that it is necessary to plan a trip in advance. The ferry's capacity of 80 people will not allow everyone to be transported in one flight.
