The Days of cities in Myshkin and Pereslavl-Zalessky, as well as the Lemon Festival in Yaroslavl, will be held on July 26.
The Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Evraev, announced festive events in Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, as well as the annual Lemon music festival in Yaroslavl.
– We invite residents and guests of the region to visit the Yaroslavl region for vivid impressions. Only once a year there is a "Festival of mice of the whole planet!" in Myshkin, the Lemon festival in the capital of the Golden Ring of Russia and a water performance within the framework of the national project "Trubezhfest" in Pereslavl-Zalessky with the participation of theater, cinema actors, famous performers and residents of the city, – said Mikhail Evraev.
In Myshkin, on the Day of the City, the "Festival of Mice of the whole planet!" will be held, which has become the hallmark of the city. Every year since 1996, the event gathers thousands of participants and spectators, turning into a real celebration of culture, traditions and creativity.
Exciting events, workshops, concerts and exhibitions await residents and tourists. Guests will be able to take part in folk festivals, contests and competitions, visit museums and sights of the city on the Volga. The traditional humorous Mouse Race will also take place. The launch is planned from the Mouse Museum, which turns 35 this year.
The main events are planned at several venues. The Myshgorod craft fair, attractions and tourist attractions will start in the morning. The open-air Museum of Living Crafts will present blacksmithing, pottery, turning, glassblowing workshops, and carving. Those who wish will have the opportunity to blow a forge with real bellows or sit at a potter's wheel, see the skill of a woodcarver.
The Sitsky Garden Park will host the Mouse Commotion game program, which includes workshops on painting badges and plaster figurines. Fans of photo shoots will be able to enjoy themselves at the estate of merchant T.V. Chistov. There will also be an art exhibition "Beloved Land", and at 18 o'clock a ball will begin, to which all guests will be invited by the Mouse King.
In the evening, an evening program with performances by vocal and dance groups is planned on Uspenskaya Square. The festive day will end with fireworks and a dance disco program "Hits Only".
Festive events dedicated to the City Day will be held on Saturday in Pereslavl-Zalessky. Traditionally, the celebrations will begin with a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the city's founder, Prince Yuri Dolgoruky.
Various events will be held on the territory of the historical city center from 10:00 to 22:00.
The Summer Garden will host the atmospheric fair "Pereslavsky Seasons" with the participation of masters of folk art crafts of Pereslavl-Zalessky and other cities of the region and Russia. A cultural and entertainment program "The History of Cinema in Pereslavl-Zalessky" will also be organized here with a story about the role of the city and its inhabitants in Russian cinematography.
Valentine Weingart Park will host an entertaining and delicious interactive program for children and adults called the Ice Cream and Chocolate Festival. In the waters of Pleshcheyev Lake, residents and guests will see the people's regatta "Sails of Pleshcheyev Lake", and sports competitions are also planned. Yarfilm Stunt Theater will present a circus show program at the People's Square. At 16.00, the grand opening of the "I love you, my glorious city!" celebration will take place here. A water performance will be held on the right embankment of the Trubezh River as part of the national project "Trubezhfest".
In the evening, a large concert and entertainment program is planned with the participation of soloists and creative teams of the city and municipalities of the Yaroslavl region, as well as famous artists.
– The Day of the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky is a significant event for residents and guests of the region, the holiday combines cultural events, bright show programs, - said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – The history of the celebration of the City Day begins with the founding of Pereslavl by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky in 1152. Since then, the city has gone through a long path of development, preserving unique architectural and cultural monuments that attract many tourists to the city.

Five hours of music and friendly communication await the guests of the Lemon Festival in Yaroslavl. The event will take place in the Governor's Garden. According to tradition, virtuoso musician and TV presenter Vadim Eilenkrig will take part in it. The Peter Vostokov Jazz Orchestra and singer Daria Antonova, the Sofia Atsbeha Neggai Quartet and the Dolce Gavana group will also perform. The program of the festival is presented on the official website of the Ministry of Culture of the Yaroslavl region.
