Yaroslavl has become the most sought-after tourist city in the Golden Ring of Russia

According to OneTwoTrip analysts, Yaroslavl has become the most popular tourist city in the Golden Ring of Russia. But it accounts for almost 28% of the total number of bookings in hotels along the route. This was reported by the RT news agency, citing a source. Vladimir is in second place (23% of bookings), Kostroma is in third place (16.3% of bookings).

Analysts also named such cities of the Yaroslavl region as Rostov Veliky (2.9%), Uglich (1.9%) and Pereslavl-Zalessky (6.2%) among the popular ones, the number of bookings to which increased by 68%.

"Yaroslavl, Pereslavl–Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Uglich, and Rybinsk are traditionally among the most popular destinations among tourists," said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – Travelers receive excellent impressions and high-quality service, which is promoted by the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, provides great support to the tourism industry in the region.

38% of bookings on the Golden Ring account for three-star hotels. There are currently 115 hotels of this level in the Yaroslavl region in the cities of the route and the districts that belong to them. Of these, 17 are in Yaroslavl, 16 in Pereslavl-Zalessky, 8 in Rostov Veliky and 5 in Uglich.​

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
