This was announced by the head of the region Mikhail Evraev.

– Yaroslavl region is one of the leaders of domestic tourism and this year it entered the top ten most popular destinations for summer holidays in Russia. Our region is chosen for its rich cultural heritage, nature, well–developed infrastructure and an atmosphere of hospitality," said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. – Yaroslavl is the most visited city of the Golden Ring, and the growing flow of tourists is noted in all districts of the region. We are consistently developing the field, creating new opportunities for guests and residents. An integrated approach to the development of territories creates a space that meets the requirements of residents and attracts guests.

Mikhail Evraev said that large-scale infrastructure projects, including those with private investments, are being implemented in Rostov Veliky, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Uglich and other cities. The region has received preferential loans at the federal level for five major initiatives. Thanks to this, modern hotel complexes with swimming pools are emerging, and a network of campsites is developing. The new accommodation facilities will increase the number of rooms by more than a thousand places.

Currently, there are 240 collective accommodation facilities in the Yaroslavl region, with a total of 9465 rooms. There is one 5-star hotel in Yaroslavl, four 4-star hotels: three in Pereslavl-Zalessky and one in Uglich.

– It is worth noting that 38% of bookings on the Golden Ring account for three-star hotels. There are currently 115 hotels of this level in the Yaroslavl region in the cities of the route and the districts that belong to them. Of these, 17 are in Yaroslavl, 16 in Pereslavl–Zalessky, 8 in Rostov Veliky and 5 in Uglich," Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region, explained.

The regional government pays special attention to the development of transport and tourism infrastructure. Carsharing and double-decker sightseeing buses operate in Yaroslavl. The renovation of the river fleet continues: the Beloyar vessel, built at the Yaroslavl shipyard, has become a symbol of modern water tourism. A network of berths is being developed that can accommodate both cruise liners and small vessels, so that each city and district can become part of a large tourist route along the Volga and the Rybinsk Reservoir.

In addition, the region continues to create a modern environment for travelers and residents: streets and squares are being landscaped, lighting is being installed on architectural sites, touch panels and media screens are being installed that tell about the beauty of the region, festivals and concerts.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
