Tourism Week to be held in Yaroslavl region

22 September 2025, 13:09

From September 22 to 28, the region will host a Tourism Week dedicated to World Tourism Day. This is a series of unique events that are organized on a free or discounted basis in all urban and municipal districts of the region. Special programs are also provided for the participants of the SVO and their family members. This was announced by the Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev.

– Our region is one of the ten most touristically attractive regions of the country. Yaroslavl is the leader among the cities of the Golden Ring: it accounts for 35% of all trips,– said Mikhail Evraev. – Tourism for our region is a serious engine of the economy: the growth of the tourist flow brings taxes, business income, new jobs and investments in infrastructure. In 2024 alone, tourists left more than 30 billion rubles in the region, which is 80% more than a year earlier. But our potential is even greater, and its development requires high-quality infrastructure and service. Together with the business, we are building hotels, hotel complexes, and developing new leisure formats. Over the past two years, about 400 glamping rooms have appeared, supported by a federal subsidy. Events such as the Tourism Week not only attract visitors to us, but also enhance the investment potential of the region.

The events of the Tourism Week include an excursion "The history and architecture of the former Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery for Men", a walk along V.V. Tereshkova Street in Yaroslavl, a walking game "Bears", and an introduction to "School 21. Yaroslaviya", professional training in "Stalmos", a master class "Souvenir Yaroslavl platband" and much more.

"As part of the Tourism Week project, residents and guests of the region will have a unique opportunity to visit museums and exhibitions, take part in quests and master classes and get vivid and unforgettable impressions from this autumn," said Dmitry Dobrynin, Acting Minister of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region. – Our task is to show what the Yaroslavl region is interested in.

Pre-registration is required for events, the number of places is limited. You can view the program and contact information here.

Work on the development of tourism in the Yaroslavl region is proceeding in accordance with the objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
