On March 18, 2026, a strategic session was held in Moscow dedicated to the development of the Golden Ring tourist route on the eve of its 60th anniversary, which will take place in 2027.
This event has a special significance for the Yaroslavl Region: the region is the heart of the route and proudly bears the title of its capital.
In 2026, the Golden Ring route was expanded with new settlements — in the Yaroslavl region, Myshkin, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Godenovo, Karabikha and Vyatskoye were included in the route, complementing the already well-known Yaroslavl, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky and Uglich.
Within the framework of the strategic session, a cooperation agreement was signed between the participating regions of the route. The document is aimed at the joint development of tourism potential, the formation of interregional routes and the promotion of a single brand of the Golden Ring.
The participants also discussed the issues of increasing the tourist flow, the development of a single museum space and religious routes.
Yaroslavl Region continues to steadily strengthen its position as one of the key centers of cultural and tourist attraction in Russia.
