On Amendments to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 31, 2022 No. 992
Additional duties of a tour guide (guide) and a guide-translator have been fixed, the essential terms of the contract for the provision of their services have been clarified, the grounds for refusal to conclude it have been expanded, and the rules for informing tourists about services have been adjusted.
In particular, it is prescribed that guides and guides bring to the attention of tourists (tourists) complete and reliable information about the visited objects of the display, as well as about traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, the historical and cultural heritage of Russia, its culture and historical memory. They are prohibited from engaging in political agitation, forcing tourists (tourists) to accept or renounce political, religious or other beliefs, inciting social, racial, national or religious discord (including by informing tourists (tourists) of false information about historical, national, religious and cultural traditions of peoples), encouraging tourists (tourists) to actions contrary to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, to distribute materials containing obscene language, calls for violence, cruelty, extremism, pornography.
Requirements have been established for the case when a route (including a national tourist route) or part of it passes within the boundaries of a specially protected natural area, in a border zone.
The resolution comes into force on March 1, 2025.
