There is an interesting legend. Once upon a time there was a peasant named Ustin Kroshilo in the village, and in a difficult time he was able to save church valuables from looting by the Poles. This holiday, which was celebrated on the third day after Trinity, is named in his honor.
On the first Saturday after Trinity, fans of ethnotourism, folklore and all those who want to spend a day off away from the hustle and bustle of the city gather in the village of Sereda for a holiday.
Folk groups and harmonica players perform for the guests. They lead round dances, master classes where they learn how to draw on clay, knit brooms, make a "Kroshilovo blanket" and much more. An indispensable attribute of the holiday is the main festive dish – okroshka. Here, this cold summer soup is presented in a variety of options – kefir and kvass, milk and cucumber brine, acetic water and beetroot broth. Everyone will find something to their liking!
There is a fair with goods from local manufacturers. In 2025, the holiday "Kroshikha" will be held on June 14.
