Cherished feast (Votive feast). A holiday in a village or town, established by lay people according to a vow, that is, a promise to God, the Virgin, and the saints. The reason for the celebration was the deliverance of the inhabitants of a village, a group of villages or an entire city from a natural disaster: fire, flood, drought, hail, pestilence of people and livestock, as well as other misfortunes that caused great damage to the economy. The holiday takes place for three days on the territory of the Danilovsky rural settlement (Guzhovo, Ermakovo, Zubovo, Leonkovo, Skorodumka, Krasnovo, Dityanovo).
The holiday program includes a prayer service and a clean-up day at the Church of St. John the Theologian in Guzhovo village, "Well Done fun", a competition for the best performance of military folk songs, a walk in Ermakovo village, a visit to the Holy Spring of Adrian Poshekhonsky, a meal with traditional treats, various master classes and much more.
In 2025, the holiday will be held from June 13 to June 15.
