Alley of Heroes and Memorial of Military Glory

The Alley of Heroes is located in Poshekhonye, not far from the Trinity Cathedral and Freedom Square. This is a series of named obelisks — they perpetuate the memory of heroic soldiers who were born and raised in the Yaroslavl region. All of them fought for their homeland: in the battles of the First World War and the Great Patriotic War, in Afghanistan and during the Chechen campaign. On Victory Day and other important historical dates, residents of the region come to the Alley of Heroes to honor the memory of their countrymen, and recently five more new steles were installed here.
