Embankment of the Sogozhi and Pertomki rivers, Strelka

Strelka is the place of power of Poshekhonya, the place where the waters of the five Poshekhon rivers join.

Strelka is a favorite walking spot for poshekhonets. There is a rich history here, a place of power, a place where five Poshekhon rivers merge. The main one is the Sogoga River, into which flow the Shelsha, Soga, Pertomka, and Troitsky Creek. And all of them carry their waters to the Rybinsk reservoir. There was a city garden and a marina here. It is also a holy place where the architectural dominant of the city stands – the bell tower of the Trinity Cathedral.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
