The Church of Myrrh-Bearing Women was built in 1783 at the expense of parishioners. Archaic for its time, the quadrangle of the five-domed temple with baroque decoration testifies to the stability of traditional techniques of local architecture. The architect of the bell tower of the temple, built in the second half of the 19th century, was Dostoevsky Andrey Mikhailovich, brother of the famous writer Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky. The unusual completion of the bell tower with a large bulbous head without a drum gives originality to its silhouette. The temple was not closed in Soviet times. In the cemetery at the church, you can worship the grave of Archimandrite Seraphim (Shustov).
