Preobrazhensky pond

A small pond is located in the very center of the city in the picturesque Preobrazhensky Park. It has a century-old history and is not only a favorite place for residents to walk, but also the "heart" of Danilov, since it was on this place that the city was once founded. Initially, the pond was fire-fighting and had a rounded shape, then it was leveled and made rectangular, and the pond area gradually became a very popular recreation area, especially among young people. In winter, an ice rink was organized there, and high school students who were evacuated to the city from the Baltic States installed ice sculptures. In summer, the townspeople arranged a small beach and a place for swimming. For a long time, proactive residents of the city and volunteers were engaged in the development of the Preobrazhensky Pond and park.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
