The Birth of a Fairy Tale and Slavic Mythology Museum

The museum "The Birth of a Fairy Tale and Slavic Mythology" is a unique collection of images of lower and higher Slavic mythology, heroes of handmade Russian fairy tales. Each exhibit is presented with a distinctive decor, and the rooms where the exhibits are located are equipped with musical accompaniment.

Visiting the museum draws visitors into an amazing world full of secrets and riddles, a kind, wise fairy tale and beautiful Slavic legends.

On the territory of the tourist complex there are: a labyrinth building with exhibits of nature spirits and fairy-tale heroes; a building with exhibits of Slavic gods; a royal house with a platform for interactive programs; a playground under a canopy; a souvenir shop; a cascading pond with a watermill.

The museum's territory is designed in the style of Russian wooden architecture with "fabulous" elements. There is a hut on chicken legs with a rotary mechanism, and a stone, as in a fairy tale, with the inscription "If you go left, you'll fill your belly, if you go right, you'll find a holiday, and if you go straight, you'll end up in a fairy tale!" and a formidable raven guarding the book of wisdom.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
