The main functioning temple of Uglich, consecrated in 1706. It is mostly designed in the then-widespread "Naryshkin Baroque" style. This is the temple part, which has a traditional three-part division and kokoshniks, but is already decorated with columns, a cornice similar to an entablature, and refined architraves with torn sandriks. A picturesque five-domed building rises above the roof. A three-apse altar part adjoins from the east. On the other two sides, the cathedral is complemented by outbuildings – the Pokhvalsky chapel adjoins from the north, and the porch, which appeared later, from the west. The free southern facade facing the city was inevitably to become the main one. Therefore, the main entrance is located here, decorated with a carved white stone portal. The interior of the temple is unique: a vast pillarless hall covered with a closed vault.
