The exhibition represents the experience of reconstruction of the Rostov Museum of Church Antiquities (1883 – early 1920s).
It displays objects from museum collections of iconography, woodcarving, paintings, church utensils, weapons, decorative and applied arts, handwritten and old printed books, documents, photographs.
The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
