Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Voskresenskoe
The church was consecrated in 1796. The funds for the construction were allocated by A. Konovnitsyn, Chief Prosecutor of the Vologda region and owner of the estate in Voskresenskoye.
At the altar of the Resurrection Church, on the south side, there is a monument made of black marble. Under it lies the ashes of Priest A. Orlov, who served in the local church for 50 years and was loved and respected by the parishioners. On his initiative, a parish school was opened in 1877.
The church is now operational, restoration work is underway. Services are held here on Sundays and public holidays.
The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
