The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God Assuage my sorrows in Nekrasovsky

The church was built in 1839-1844 at the expense of parishioners and priest I.A. Nazansky. Stone, single-domed, with a tent bell tower. In 1843, it was painted by the Bolshesol artists E. Sorokin and I. Shvarev. The three-tiered iconostasis was made in the 1840s by Moscow craftsmen. The temple icon "Assuage My Sorrows" was painted by the artist N. Bazhenov.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
