The Church of St. Elijah the Prophet was built in 1753 by retired captain of the Life Guards F.V. Sukhovo – Kobylin with two altars. Main ( summer ) in honor of Elijah the Prophet, winter in honor of Nicholas the Wonderworker. Both thrones were consecrated to the Episcopate by His Eminence, His Eminence Kirill, Archbishop of Yaroslavl and Rostov, on July 28, 2004.
The last priest before the church was closed in 1924 was fr. Nikolai Yaroslavsky is the father of Vladyka Cassian. And the future Bishop Kassian, having become a priest, served his first liturgy in the church. Services in the parish resumed in 2000.
The church has a bell tower, built in 2014 at the expense of philanthropists.
