Until 1801, the church was wooden, it burned down from a lightning strike. In 1801, the church was rebuilt in stone. According to Ivan Gennadyevich Velikoselsky (the son of the last priest, Fr. Gennady), there was a copper plate at the entrance to the temple, on which it was engraved that the temple was built with the care of parishioners and donations from Ataman Osan. Ataman Osan was the leader of the bandits who hid in the dense forests and robbed merchant wagons. Subsequently, he repented and gave the money to the church.
