The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in the village of Gorodishche, Pereslavsky district, Yaroslavl region, near Pleshcheyev Lake. The church existed here already at the beginning of the 17th century. It was made of wood.
In 1791, instead of two wooden churches, they began to build a stone church with two altars: in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (summer church) and in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (winter chapel). Now it is a five-domed stone temple with a high tiered bell tower. It is active.
