In the 19th century, this house belonged to Ivan Ivanovich Galochkin, who was the founder and trustee of the Old Believers of the Bespopovtsy.
Two-storeyed, stone, with original facades decorated with false rustication, pilasters and decorative lion heads - the house was built at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries. This building gained a new lease of life after the fire and almost complete destruction and is one of the gems of the village.
The restoration of this mansion marked the beginning of the restoration of other cultural monuments of the village. In 2006, this stone manor was bought and restored by Yaroslavl businessman Oleg Zharov. By the time the restoration work in the "House with Lions" was completed, Oleg Alekseevich was enchanted by the rural beauty of Vyatsky and won his heart. The idea of restoring the entire village was born.
Next to the mansion there is an ancient well, in the waters of which lies the secret of the legendary Vyatka cucumber. The secret is rooted in the traditional method of salting in cold water, which originated two centuries ago.
