Monument to N.A.Nekrasov in Vyatka

On Davydkovskaya Street (it was so named because the road to the village of Davydkovo goes along this street - now the village of Tolbukhino) there is an Art Gallery named after N.A. Nekrasov and nearby there is a monument to N.A. Nekrasov.

The author of the monument is Elena Paskhina, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The idea of the monument's author was to portray the great poet not as a textbook character, but as a real person who sat down to rest during a walk. That is why the size of the monument - in human height - does not hang over the viewer, but puts him on a par with himself, inviting him to contemplate the beauty of Vyatsky and... open a volume of Nekrasov!

The monument was inaugurated in 2018 at the festival "Days of N.A. Nekrasov in Vyatka".

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
