The building of the city hospital, also known as the Myasnikovskaya Hospital, is located in the house of the wealthy Rostov merchant Myasnikov, built in the early 19th century and subsequently donated to the city.
The gold merchant Fyodor Borisovich Myasnikov built for himself a large luxurious mansion, which was considered one of the best in the city. This is confirmed by the fact that members of the royal family, Maria Feodorovna and Tsarevich Alexander Nikolaevich, the future Emperor Alexander II, who visited Rostov in 1818, stayed in this house. In 1865, after receiving the title of nobility, the Myasnikovs transferred their house to the possession of the city for its conversion into a zemstvo hospital, which was named after them — "Myasnikovskaya". In 1913, a building with a house church was added to the building, decorated in an eclectic style, which combined the corner Myasnikov house with an outpatient clinic, the facade of which is brightly decorated in a pseudo-Russian style.
Currently, the building still serves as a hospital.
