The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker

In the "Brief Information on churches and Monasteries of the Yaroslavl Diocese" from 1908, St. Nicholas Church was not singled out separately and was described as a stone bell tower at the Resurrection Cathedral, built in 1893. Thanks to this certificate, the date of construction of St. Nicholas Church was precisely established – 1893. But the stone bell tower was added to the church later, approximately in the first half of the noughties of the XX century. The church was closed around 1930.

In 1994, the church was returned to the faithful, and for a long time it underwent restoration work.

On July 2, 2022, Bishop Veniamin of Rybinsk and Romanovo-Borisoglebsky consecrated the church.

The revered icon is St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
