The sculptural composition is a full-length plaster figure of a soldier from the Great Patriotic War, mounted on a high pedestal. The sculptor depicted the soldier as focused and thoughtful, clutching a rifle and helmet tightly in his hands. Dark green fir trees and saplings grow behind the Unknown Soldier as symbols of peaceful life.

The memorial plaque reads: "Eternal memory to the heroes who fell in the battles for freedom and independence of our Motherland! 1941-1945."
