Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Pravdino

It was built in 1820.

The three-tiered bell tower has retained its original classical appearance. The temple part and the refectory resemble the Russian-Byzantine cathedrals of Uglich and Kashin, the Epiphany Cathedral of Mologa.

Subsequently, the temple was rebuilt many times. In 1908, a stone five-domed church with a tiered bell tower was built on the site of the dilapidated church of 1820. In 1911, the new church was painted.

Inside the church fence there was a stone gatehouse with a wooden floor. The wooden floor collapsed from time to time. On February 1, 1882, a 4-class zemstvo college was opened there. As the number of students increased, a new school was opened in the village in 1910, with 83 boys and 56 girls in 1912. And a school of dressmakers was opened in the church gatehouse, where village women studied sewing, which was so necessary at that time.

In 1959, the church was closed. In the summer of 1992, on the initiative of local residents and Leningrad Professor of architecture A.G. Egoyan, the Church of the Nativity was partially restored. The roof of the refectory was blocked, and several windows were bricked up to secure the walls and vaults. Unfortunately, there were not enough funds for further restoration. A.G. Egoyan died and was buried in Pravdina, near the lovingly restored temple.

In 2014, a new stage of restoration of the temple began. In 2016, the roof of the winter church, consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, was restored, and in 2017, the roof of the summer church, consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 2018, the roof of the altar part of the summer temple was rebuilt. In 2019, the bell tower was revived, and a cross was installed and consecrated on the bell tower.
