On December 28, 1977, to mark the 200th anniversary of Rybinsk, for the first time in the Yaroslavl region, the Polet Sports Palace was opened with a concert hall for 3,000 spectators, which was transformed into an ice arena with stands.

In 2013, the Sports Palace was reconstructed and turned into a modern multifunctional sports complex.

Currently, the complex has everything necessary for practicing various sports: an ice arena, halls for playing sports, a gym for gymnastics, aerobics and fitness, a gym and saunas for recovery after training.

The Sports Palace regularly hosts sports competitions at the city, regional and Russian levels, as well as concerts. On weekends, two mass skating sessions are held (the schedule can be clarified by phone +7(485) 528-01-09)

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
