Demidovsky Garden

A cozy park in the center of Yaroslavl with alleys, a fountain and a Stella Demidova is a great place for walking and relaxing.

Demidovsky Garden is a cozy and solemn square located in the very center of Yaroslavl next to Sovetskaya Square. Its alleys are bordered by century-old trees, creating an atmosphere of grandeur and tranquility. In the center of the garden stands the Demidov Pillar, a monument to the famous educator Pavel Grigoryevich Demidov, the founder of the first school of higher sciences in the city.

The garden was founded at the end of the 19th century and has been reconstructed several times, preserving the historical layout. Today, you can enjoy modern lighting, cozy walking paths and a fountain here. Walking through the Demidovsky Garden, it is easy to notice the harmony of nature and history: every corner is imbued with the spirit of the city, and cozy benches invite you to linger and relax.

Demidovsky Garden is an excellent choice for a walk with the whole family, and due to its location, it is an ideal start for exploring the historical center of Yaroslavl.

The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
