Derunov Square in Rybinsk acquired its name in September 2009. Before that, it was called Jubilee
The square named after Derunova in Rybinsk acquired its name in September 2009. Before that, it was called "Jubilee". The initiative to rename it was put forward in order to perpetuate the memory of the hero of Socialist Labor, director of the Rybinsk Engine Plant Pavel Fedorovich Derunov.In 2021, reconstruction was carried out on the square, as part of which a new planar fountain was built. An outdoor ice rink has been installed every winter since 2024.
The main attraction of the Yaroslavl region is a constellation of 12 ancient cities: Yaroslavl, Gavrilov-Yam, Danilov, Lyubim, Myshkin, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Poshekhonye, Rostov the Great, Rybinsk, Tutaev, Uglich and the flooded Mologa. Each of them has its own unique appearance and atmosphere.
